The photo above and the two below were taken on Friday, August 15, 2008 during a reunion of 1970s-era WHAS personnel at the home of former WHAS News Director Glen Bastin. Pictured L-R are these news/sports alumni: Mark Pfeiffer, Jerry Leitzell, Chuck Patyk (Chuck was the guy talking with John Burke during the 1974 tornado when Burke said “I gotta get out of here” and hung up on the air), Dave Siler, Glen Bastin (in the hat), Fran Severn, Byron Crawford, Jeff Marks, Stephanie Bateman Madison, Van Vance (voice of the old Kentucky Colonels) and Mark Thomas.
