March 1, 1988: The WAKY call letters have just left the Louisville AM band for good, and WHAS' Terry Meiners mourns the loss with a bunch of funny bits, including a "funeral procession" of former WAKY listeners marching down Chestnut Street. Over a dozen early '70s WINN Newsletters have been added to the WINN Page, courtesy Moon Mullins, along with DJ memos from PD Danny King, a 1975 letter to Moon from Buck Owens, and a 1978 WINN Moon Mullins promotional flyer.

Also added: a 1976 Newsletter and Announcers Schedule for WAVE Radio, courtesy Rip Rinehart.

We've added a stereo off-the-board recording of Leonard Yates doing "Kentuckiana Flashback" on WHAS on Derby Weekend in 1985.

You can now hear an aircheck of the remark morning drive jock Bill Crisp made on WLAP in 1970 that caused him to lose his job there. Find it on the WLAP-AM Page.

Barry Fox sent us a 1988 WLAP-FM composite, which we've posted on the brand spankin' new WLAP-FM page.

Two more 1966 airchecks of Burt Mathis from WINN's short-lived Top 40 days have been added here. Burt, of course, became "Weird Beard" at WAKY in November of that year.

Thanks to Jim Barks we now have WINN year-end surveys from 1974 and 1975.
